Recently found a clean Subaru SVX with full service history and 170.000mls for 2.700 quid, exactly the same as a clapped out Toyota HiAce van with 160.000mls and a 90hp diesel engine. Makes no sense, does it. The only advantages the Van has are space, RWD and a manual transmission.

Because in my current situation I’ll never be able to afford taxes and insurance on the nice cars and have to make do with awful hatchbacks that I don’t want.

I was contemplating an SVX today oddly. I found two nonrunners locally.

Each at $500 (322 quid in your parts I believe) but one needs an Engine and the other needs a Transmission.

Step 1: Buy both of them

Step 2: Get an EZ36 plus the 6MT from a Legacy Spec B and give them plus one of the cars to me

Step 3: Do whatever you want to the other (except an LS swap)

Step 4: ???

Step 5: Profit!
